The Grand Exchange Rules
Updated: January 7th, 2009

These rules have been placed to ensure as safe, sensible and enjoyable forum as possible. If any of these rules are broken we will first warn you, and if continuation occurs with intent, you will face a temporary ban or worse.

  • Spam
    Stupid Pointless Anoying Messages, these are known for. Posting spam topics wastes your time and our staff's. Spam topics vary.

  • Short Messages
    Posts that say only one or two words such as "ok" or "gratz" are not allowed. If you're writing a post, make sure you make it longer and at least have some form of effort towards it.

  • Jibberish
    Otherwise known as keyboard mashing. Messages that have no words, just letters mashed into one, eg. "sdafhsdgiuhdfigu"

  • Questions answered in the stickies
    This is a form of spam which shows the member has not read the stickies and rules. Such questions as "Can I be Mod?" are forms of spam. (Read below)

  • Double Posting
    Posting twice in a row is classed as spam. We have an Edit Button for a reason and it's not made to be ignored. Use it or face a ban.

  • Respect
    Treating members how you wish to be treated- A rule which can be summed up in that one sentence. If you want to be respected, respect everyone a round you.

  • Flaming
    Flaming is a huge problem that occurs on forums, the term 'flame' means to argue, rage or post mean comments.

  • Illegal Content
    This rule is here for copyright reasons, by any means The Grand Exchange staff are not responsible for any stolen or illegal material posted on the site. You are. This content includes:

    - Pornography,
    - Obscene images,
    - Stolen content from other websites without copyright

  • Asking to be a Moderator
    No. Again we say it: you will never become a Moderator if you ask! Easiest way to be one? Hang around, help out a lot.

  • Jagex Rules
    We will enfore the Jagex rules at all times, unless we are proposing to argue a rule, in which case we will post in a news announcement.

We at The Grand Exchange encourage you all to follow Jagex Rules, as we are a site related to Runescape, we should respect their rules.
